... and what's a vacation without photos? I wonder if people could figure out where I went from these pictures. They are pretty tale-telling, and even if the tourist attractions don't ring any bell, the last shot showed the unique landscape of this famous island.
My stay there was brief, so it wasn't possible to see everything. Plus my uncle (who is a local) kept trying to pay for all our expenses, that made us feel so bad. Afterall, the purpose of my trip was to visit my relatives, whom I haven't met in like 10 years. It feels kind of awkward though, since we have a language barrier. I had to resort to sign language and simple words just to communicate the very basic stuff. In the end there was very little connection as I just cannot chat with my cousins. The older cousin was very nice to me though. Even if he can't exactly talk to me, he'd still point at stuff and utter simple words with a big grin. He's the sunshine kind. So at least I'm not forgotten, but I still mostly have to rely on my Mom to translate things for me.

Things got better when I got back to Hong Kong for the second part of the trip. It was mostly shopping, and great food. Yay for rediscovering the joy of eating!
The atmosphere there feels very different from Vancouver, and I am only getting this after I got back. I'm not talking about the temperature or humidity, it is quite hard to explain. I feel more proactive when I was in Hong Kong. It may be because of my sister's influence as she's still very active despite hitting a bump in her life right at that time.
Still, buying new clothes with my sister's VIP discounts was happy; buying hats and stuff that I actually really want to put on was happy (never get that in Vancouver); seeing sexy posters in boutiques was happy; buying proper scrubbing cream was happy, etc. Biggest surprise was when I went to 嘉亨灣 for a walk (I could go in because my parents own a unit there). I saw two people who I guarantee will turn you and everyone's heads.
One is pale-skinned and very tall. I think he has mixed heritage, as he has big brown eyes and is not just typically handsome. He was wearing a cap, but that didn't conceal his dark hair, nor his ridiculous good looks. He wore a black T-shirt, light shorts, and flip flops, showing his milky smooth skin. He was just walking around the terrace, and I saw him twice. Couldn't help but stare, sigh.
The other I met just outside the changing room (No I wasn't stalking, Mom had to go to washroom). His body is so ripped it's unreal; but he is real, no photoshop or anything, I see him in person at close range. He has deep tan and a rough face, a strong contrast from the other guy I saw. He is not overly buff, but his muscles are so tightly packed into his body that you'd wonder how it was possible, and he was shirtless, showing it all. He has abs that are so strongly defined they look like an ice-maker (the tray mold you put in the freezer), a chest that bulges and fit so perfectly on his medium frame, and the rest of the body is evenly proportioned to create a really perfect physique. Too bad I only got a glimpse as he walked past me towards the pool.
It would be hard to believe if they aren't models. Regardless, they should be pretty well off as 嘉亨灣 isn't cheap, and their resident's club is huge. Well, enough dreaming about sexy hunks. Apparently I have completely driven this off track, haha.
