Overheating is not Sexy...

It is actually quite surprising to see how much sexual marketing is on the TV. It is not like I am against using sex to sell products, but when things like Advil and even Quiznos are dropping not-so-subtle hints, that is just plain silly.

I am not much of a TV person myself. Maybe that is why I was surprised? If that is the case though, I kind of wonder what TV watchers are like. Are they really going to be manipulated into buying just about everything by this? Now, of course I know that many people who watch TV are educated and rational. These TV commercials may not do so much as to make people buy the products as making a lasting impression on the audiences' mind, as it did to me. It also seemed to be a general trend that popular culture is more and more sexual in nature. That probably has something to do with it as well.

I really think that while advertisements littered with sexual innuendos continue to exploit the people's libidos, it would be nice to have something different, something innovative, something that is truly eye-catching, shown on the TV.
